 What: Appalachian Chapter of Trout Unlimited MeetingWhere: Greenway Farm off of Gann Store Road in Hixson
When: Thursday, August 19th, at 6:30 PM Jim Herrig, a Forest Aquatic Biologist for the Cherokee National Forrest Service, will be the featured speaker. The topic will be the annual fish sampling based out of McNabb campground. This is the 21st year of electrofishing Brook Trout streams in the Cherokee National Forrest. This year, we will sample Sycamore Creek. McNabb Campground will be open for volunteers the nights of August 27th and 28th. Trout Unlimited will kick off the day by serving breakfast on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM.
This project has been very successful. It has allowed Brook Trout to flourish. Please plan on joining us to continue this restoration process. |

When: Thursday, February 18th, at 6:30 PM The February meeting will start with a short board meeting followed by a video titled, "The Underwater Feeding Habits of Trout." Come learn how trout feed so you can become a better angler. |

The January meeting will be a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the TN Aquarium hosted by Rob Mottice. The tour will begin promptly at the Member's Entrance at 6:00 PM on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010. Space is limited, so the tour is only open to TU members, their family, and close member's friends. |
